next release? was created by phsieh2005
Hi,
Your CAELinux is great!
I am just wondering what your plan is for the next release with Salome 3.2.1/Code_Aster 8.3?
Thanks!

Hi,
in fact, an \"internal\" test version of beta 3 is running at the moment and contains some additions like BRL-CAD, gtkCAM, Blender an updates like Salome 3.2.1 / Aster 8.3.
At the moment, I am trying to update the system as closest as possible to PclinuxOs .93, in order to improve hardware detection & support.
If the upgrade process to new kernels & drivers is OK, the new version should be ready in a couple of weeks.. if not, maybe i will release a stable but \"less\" up-to-date version.
The good news is that with latest system version, you should be able to install Nvidia / ATI & Wifi drivers on the fly with Synaptics (and have a better choice of kernels up to dual core with 4Gb RAM)
