Salome and Code-Aster introductory course was created by Iago
26th to 30th of September 2011, Gothenburg (Sweden).
This one-week course is delivered by Dr.-Ing. Johannes Ackva from Ingenieurbüro für Mechanik in Wassertrüdingen / Germany.
The course is intended for mechanical / computational engineers concerned with design and simulation of mechanical structures. Pre and
Postprocessing with Salome and executing analyses using Code-Aster will be taught. The most common element types and Load and Boundary conditions of Code-Aster are treated as well how to define materials and properties.
Main focus, as the course is an introduction to Code-Aster, are linear
analyses (linear statics, eigenmodes, buckling). Moreover a first approach to nonlinearity is given with modeling of contact and material nonlinearity.
