Z88 Aurora available for Linux was created by Claus
I've been looking at Z88 before since it was on a list of free FEM software, but at that time it was only available for Windows - the other day I came across the site an lo and behold:

20. August 2010 The LINUX Version of Z88 Aurora V1 is now available for download.


..so it's been available for Linux for quite a while. Packages are available for Ubuntu 9.04 and 10.04 64bit

Plenty of tutorials and documentation too. It is however, not nearly (far from it) as advanced as e.g. Code_Aster, but for standard linear static analysis it might be more than enough - check it out in any case.
