updating gmsh was created by Venkata
I have just installed CAElinux 2009 on my 64 bit desktop.
I see that the version of the gmsh that was included is version 2.3.1
I was wondering if i wanted to update it to the latest version 2.4.2, how would i go about in doing that? would i need to uninstall the existing version before i install the newer one?
an advanced thanks for your replies!

A later version of gmsh should be available in the package-manager.
Otherwise you can download the binary version at geuz.org
/C
