update problem was created by Filippo Monari
Hi I'm new in the forum, so excuse me if I post this tread in the wrong section.
I have CAElinux on a virtual machine in a ubuntu 9.10 host OS.
CAElinux try to upgrade itself, all packages are istalled except some packages of the "simula" repositories.
This is the error that the update manager give to me:

W: Failed to fetch packages.simula.no/pool/main/n/netgen/li...-16~hardy1_amd64.deb
Hash Sum mismatch

W: Failed to fetch packages.simula.no/pool/main/m/mumps/lib...-3~simula1_amd64.deb
Hash Sum mismatch

Can some one tell me how fix this problem?

I haven't had this error myself, but see this post. It seems to be related to proxies somehow.

Hash Sum mismatch

W: Failed to fetch packages.simula.no/pool/main/m/mumps/lib...-3~simula1_amd64.deb

No solution found yet.
Above link did not solve the issue.

Hi there,

hash sum mitsmatch is due to deb packages generation. It has nothing to do with proxy. hash sums are stored in the repositoy files for each package, so after downloading the deb file its hash sum must match the stored one. the package maintainer has to do the job.
