Info taken from terminal - is it normal? was created by k_zurawski
Hi,
I don't know where, so here it is. What is worrying me is that few "NO!" in terminal displayed every time I run Salome-Meca. Is it normal or am I missing something? I'm a total noob considering ubuntu, so please help if help is required.

I see those same messages in the terminal. They are kind of terrifying. I dont recall too many issues with Salome in Ubuntu(it crashes quite a bit in Windows). I am also quite the Ubuntu newb.

OK, now after installing fglrx for my old ATI Radeon x600 card salome crushes after trying to start geom module. Terminal returns:

>>> SALOME_Session_Server: ../../src/xcb_io.c:542: _XRead: Assertion `dpy->xcb->reply_data != ((void *)0)' failed.

Don't know why my attempts to bridle Salome and Linux are always so hard...

Any idea what might have happened or what's a solution to the problem?

Post edited by: k_zurawski, at: 2010/03/18 19:38

After removing in synaptic (ubuntu 9.10) the fglrx:

xorg-driver-fglrx-dev 2:8.660-0ubuntu4
fglrx-kernel-source 2:8.660-0ubuntu4
xorg-driver-fglrx 2:8.660-0ubuntu4
fglrx-amdcccle 2:8.660-0ubuntu4

which were things I installed in the first place everything works fine except for refreshing view in salome's viewport (scene) - the reason why I installed mentioned packages...

Anybody has x600 and the 'driver - salome problem'?
