Hi, hpon,
I am interested in all the topics you listed. Cannot wait to see the materials you are going to add to the wikibook. Are you planning to add examples (with details)?
Also, any case involves contact seems to be an art to get a converged solution. Are you planning to discuss contact too?

Hi Pei-Ying!
I'm glad to have caught you interest.
I have updated the content, and hopefully it's reasonably clear now what I intend and hope for regarding the book.
I just bought a new house and I must admit that it was a bit stupid to initiate a wikibook in the middle of all the work that comes with fixing up my new home. The progress with the book will be a bit slow during the next few weeks, unless you, my fellow analysts, chip in.
Don't hesitate to contribute to the book with your knowledge, skills and opinions!

Hi, hpon,
Congratulations on the new house! Yes, it will be a lot of work. But, I generally delay the work I need to do on the house because I find computer simulation a lot more fun than fixing my house.
Actually, I am a CFD person starting to learn Solid Mechanics, especially Code_Aster. The best I can do for now is to give you a begineer's feedback.
Looking forward to reading your wikibook.
Pei

Hi, hpon,
Just a suggestion:
for Part II - tutorials, can you add 2 more sections:
1. linear dynamics (modal/harmonic vibration/random vibration)
2. transient dynamics (impact, drop test)

Hi Pei-Ying!
Thanks!
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Getting settled in a house is a lot of work indeed!
I want to encourage people who are interested in the project to also take part in it. I like your suggestions and I feel inclined to add them myself, but for the reason above I hope you feel inspired to add these and other suggestions directly into the wikibook when you have the time.
