Tutorials for Code Aster, Salome, Syrthes and Code Sirius was created by Alex
Hi Forum,
I have seen that the capabilities of Code Aster are quite impressive, where can I find a detailed tutorials on Using Code Aster and Salome to solve "real world" problems...( contact, assemblies, dynamics of large deformation with contact in assemblies, thermomechanical coupling...)
Some sort of a User Guide...
Thanks in advance
Alex

You will find that Aster etc. has quite a steep learning curve and that specific tutorials and howtos are hard to come by. Usually you would use the tutorials found on this site (wiki) to learn the basics of Aster etc. and then use the Code_Aster forum to find specific command files (.comm) to incoporate into your own study.
Code_Aster is btw well documented - 40.000 pages or something - unfortunately, 99% is in french, but Google Translate can translate the PDFs to some degree of readability.

By the way, EDF is working on the translation of the french documentation into English. At the moment, they are testing different automatic translators... So it is work in progress now, it will finally come !

Hi
Thanks for your reply, I am used to working with other FEA apps, like ADINA, Ansys, Abaqus... to these there are lots of tutorials and guides that help someone getting some confidence and depth in the work he is doing... With Code Aster, i feel some difficulties in this point...
Good News though...
Let's hope it is soon... :-D
