G Code generator for CNC Milling Machines

Hello everyone,

I'm downloading it already and very interested on the possibilities of having the opportunity to learn and design 3 dimensions using Linux and a free software....

but... what I'm really looking for is a G Code generator for CNC Milling Machines, a more CAM approach.

is there any CAM software available on CAELInux?

It's not on CAElinux, but you can install the following yourself:

We know about gcam, gcam looks very neat but I tried it once and couldn't get any output... what I'm looking for is just a 2D profiling outputting a I and J with a compensation....
we are on intel based iMac's over here... what would be the best Linux distribution
to run 3D CAD application and a GCAM for example?
