Hi,

Code_Saturne 1.3.2 just released. Had anyone tried to install it?

If yes, can you post the steps? Thanks!

Hi,

I only have the 1.3 improvements over 1.2 list.

Last time I tried to install v1.3.1 on an OpenSUSE 10.2 64 bit OS, I was not successful. If anyone here successfully either installing on a 64 bit OS or upgrading from 1.3.1. to 1.3.2, it will be appreciated if the steps can be posted here.

Hi,

Could you tell me the problems you had when installing Code_Saturne on a 64bits OS ?

We have the code installed on several different 64bits systems without any problems (once the compiler's flags are correctly set...), so maybe I could help you. If needed, I could try and install it on OpenSUSE.

As for the upgrade, you have to reinstall the whole package (i.e the mandatory libraries BFT and FVM, the preprocessor ECS the graphical interface ICS, and the kernel NCS) because all of them have had patchs applied in order to correct some problems... Nevertheless, the installer has been somewhat corrected as well, so it should be easier to install Code_Saturne now !

The different Changelogs are available in each package. To put it in a nutshell, the main corrections are related to:
  1. gradient computation (mainly with extended neighborhood and some tricky issue with parallelism and periodicity)
  2. rotation periodicity (when the frame origin is not on the rotation axe)
  3. the steady-state algorithm
Note that this list is not exhaustive.
