CAELinux 2007 is officially released !! was created by Joël Cugnoni
Hi everybody,
today is a great day for CAELinux: we are releasing our first stable release called CAELinux 2007 and for the occasion, the website has been re-designed to show a brighter look for, let's hope, a even brighter future!!
As you may already know, this new release is also special due to its new content. We have tried to offer a more homogeneous set of tools and devoted more efforts in producing tutorials. The big changes are mainly the update of the system base to PCLinuxOS 2007 and the brand new GPL FEA software suite Salome_Meca 2007 which represents the fusion of Salome pre/post GUI with the Code-Aster FE solver. Additionnally, with OpenFOAM 1.4 and the new UNVtoFoam mesh translator, CFD analysis is now much easier than it used to be!
We really hope that you will enjoy this new release and we hope that it will add even more momentum to the CAELinux community!!

the download-links for CAELinux 2007 are not working with the InternetExplorer an the Firefox.

Same problem for me with Firefox or Konqueror under Archlinux.

I downloaded overnight, burned the iso, and everything works fine. I booted on video safe mode.
The download site is fast, I was getting over 90Kb/sec.
