there is a new Calculix version available.
It is possible to include it in the next Caelinux?

Another suggestion in addition to updating to the new version of Calculix. Is it possible to include a stand alone version of Netgen 4.4, as I frequently use this to import STEP files and write out mesh files that can be input in to cgx.

Thank you for the suggestions,
the new version of Calculix will be in the next release.
Concerning Netgen, it is a bit more complex to answer as it is particularly difficult to compile with Step & Iges support (need to compile OpenCascade for that)... i will try to find a solution, but if it is too complicated, it will probably be included later.

please consider a new version of ccx has been added on the website on 03/03/07.
Unfortunately there is no indication on the files about the new version.

If adding Netgen poses extra problems, then it is not a big deal to forget about it for now. I have to bring the STEP/IGES files over from windows anyway, and Netgen 4.4 runs ok on windows.
