GEOMETRY module in Salome Crashes

Hello,

I downloaded CAELinux Beta 3.1 and burned DVD and I am able to boot throgh DVD into PCLinux OS. PCLinux OS desktop loads on my system. When I run Salome from Command Line Tools using the command - /opt/salome/runSalome, Salome interface comes up. But when I select GEOMETRY module in Salome, it crashes and closes all the ports. I am forced to restart the system. The following are some of the messages from runSalome script file before Salome interface comes up on the screen.

I am not able to figure out why the Salome crashes when I select GEOMETRY module. Can someone suggest what should be the corrective action to be taken. Thanks iin advance.

The following are the last few messages on the terminal console obtained by minimising the Salome interface window before the anticipated crash on selection of GEOMETRY module -

Choosing cmap for VID = 39
