Calculix Help Files was created by Robin Borland
Good Day,

I was trying to use Calculix from the CAE Linux system. I managed to access the CGX pre/post processor from the command line tools shell, eg. CGX -b test. This seemed to work ok, and I still need to hone my linux command line skills etc so that I can create a dedicated calculix_projects working directory.

However when I tried to access the help files I get the error message:

An error occurred while loading file:///usr/local/CalculiX/cgx_1.5/doc/cgx/cgx.html:
The file or folder /usr/local/CalculiX/cgx_1.5/doc/cgx/cgx.html does not exist.

I did manage to access some of the Calculix documentation in subdirectories of the /root/opt/calculix directory - does anyone know how I can get the calculix help menu up and running as I really need access to help on the commands while using the program without leaving the Linux OS.

Thanks
Robin

Hello,

sorry for this problem, I forgot to configure CGX/Calculix correctly for the HTML help to work...

If CAELinux is installed on HDD, you can solve the problem by following these instructions:
www.dhondt.de/cgx_1.5.INSTALL

Note that the HTML help files can be downloaded from here:
www.dhondt.de/cgx_1.5.htm.tar.bz2

good luck!!
