New to CAELinux

I haven't had a chance to boot the DVD because my drive is USB, so I haven't been able to look at the interface or options.

I've been working on a steel tube chassis (combination of square and round tube of varying diameters) in Alibre Design. The included limited version of Algor DesignCheck will only run FEA on single part files and isn't really suitable for this. I came across CAELinux and I'm hoping I'll be able to use this to analyze the chassis.

Does CAELinux contain the tools necessary to analyze the strength and rigidity of the chassis under varying load conditions?

If it does, what is the process of getting the .stp file into the appropriate program to run the FEA?

Are welds between members supposed to be defined in the CAD software or when setting up the test?
