Create a new file (with e.g. nano, kwrite or gedit) and save it as .bashrc in your home folder, then do a 'chmod +x .bashrc'
The file should contain '#!/bin/bash' on the first line and then whatever you want to run, after wards.

OK - thanks. I did figure out what my problem was though. You HAVE to start the correct shell by using the OpenFOAM Terminal and not the regular one. Everything is back to normal now.
