[SOLVED] How do I launch OpenFOAM? was created by Matthew Bondy
This is probably a stupid question but how do I launch the GUI for OpenFOAM? Is there still a GUI? I recall reading that the GUI was being dropped in future versions.
Thanks,

Unfortunatelly, the FoamX GUI is no more developed and is thus not included in the latest release...
Instead of FoamX, you will need to use the OpenFOAM tools from command line (not too difficult if you follow the tutorial & read the documentation). To edit boundary conditions and solution procedures, a simple text editor works well too...
Actually, FoamX was just an "abstract" way of editing OpenFoam files: the FOAMX tree corresponded to the folders / files / section and then parameters/values of an OpenFOAM simulation.
Good luck !
