Hello Friends,
. I am trying only salome in Mandriva 2006 runs successfully. Now can anyone please reply me which FE analysis softwate is used in CAE linux. and where can i find that software. kindly kindly also reply that is that a free software or not.
For information I want to convert *.med file exported by mesh module of salome to *.astk file which is imported file in Code-aster in an experimental basis.
if you have answer please halp !! me.

All of the software in CAELinux is open source, which may define it to be \"free\".
Regarding the \"med\" file being imported into \"astk\" it is not possible. A med file contains FEA nodal and elemental information. An astk file is a control file used by Code-Aster, telling it what input files to use (a \"med\" file being one of them) and what output files to generate. The two type of files serve very different purposes and cannot be translated from one to another.
