Too low value for 'smallest element' perhaps - if using 1D discretization with average length, you have to decide how dense a mesh you want. A geometry with the length of 10 units and an average length of 1 will give you about 10 elements lengthwise, but if you set average length to 0.00001, you will probably run out of RAM and patience
