Efficient v0.0.2 Wizard updated was created by Dharmit
Hi,
I am please to write that Efficient has been updated to v0.0.2.
Feature update in this version
1. User can now select generic materials like Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Brass, Copper and Titanium
2. Added Step Function to Loads. User can add stepping function to the load case and Efficient will handle the generation of .comm file
For Step Function Just add the x,y pair, for example if you want to enter the following step and load
Step -> Load
2->1
3->1.5
4->9
5->0.3
6->0
Just enter 2,1,3,1.5,4,9,5,0.3,6,0 in "Load Step Pair" and Efficient will take care of it
I got so many request to make download of the software easy, so this time, you don't need to fill out the form to download the software, just right click on the GREEN button and download "Efficient_v0-0-2.jar" file.
Please keep on sending me feature request and bug reports and I will do my best to handle them.
Happy Analyzing.
Cheers
Dharmit

Hoi Darmit,
which version of C-Aster are you aiming at?
I see you are still using CALC_NO which is obsolete in the latest version of C-Aster (v11.3.X).
#U4.81.02
result=CALC_NO(reuse=result, RESULTAT=result, OPTION=('SIGM_NOEU', 'SIEQ_NOEU', 'FORC_NODA', 'REAC_NODA',),);
Looks very promising.
Is it possible to get information of the *.med file for group_ma/group_no names?

Hi Kees,
Thanks for the appreciation.
I am aiming this at CaeLinux 2011 as that is the one I am practicing on so I guess it is still 10.x for me.
I will update this when the new CaeLinux comes out with the latest C_A.
At this stage .med files are not tied up with Efficient and the sole purpose of Efficient is to generate .comm files.
As such, I dont know how to get information of Group_MA and Group_No out of .med files.
Please share your experience with the group of when you used it.
Also share any modifications or features that you want to be added to version 0.0.3
Thanks
Dharmit

Efficient has been updated to Version 0.0.4.
This is more of a bug fix than a feature addition version.
Features of Version 0.0.4:
Removed LIAISON_DDL for Boundary Conditions
Added LIAISON_UNIF for Boundary Conditions
Removed a bug that placed the ending bracket in the wrong location for MECA_STATIQUE
Removed a bug that placed a wrong Single Quote for Stepping function
It can be downloaded from engineering.moonish.biz/blog/news/effici...0-0-4-for-comm-file/
Let me know your thoughts.
Cheers

Great that you're updating, keep it coming
Im just commenting while I click through it now:
No comments on mesh and analysis type.
Material: You should probably mention which unit system you are using or better yet, let the user choose from a pull-down menu.
Your tool tip for 'Is connected to' could/should be named 'assigned to' and also let the user know how to add several groups to one material - I assume you separate them with a comma?
Boundary conditions:
You could/should keep consistent with the 'is assigned to..' wording instead of Group Name.
For imposed conditions, you will have to do one of two things (or something I haven't thought of right now:)) Since face_impo doesn't support rotations to a face (DRxyz), you should either have a pull-down menu for each type: node, element or face, or add check marks - radio buttons - that can disable conditions along with a description of available conditions for each type.
For a face with face_impo, only Dxyz are available. Or a third option, Im not a Java programmer.
Again, a tool tip on how to add multiple groups.
Loads:
'Assigned to..', how to separate
Force on face can only apply Fxyz, not Mxyz
Which units comply with the assigned unit system? a [mm] or similar would be nice.
Load stepping:
I don't quite understand this right now. I assume it will be useful when you add NLA to the program, but as of right now, how do I assign a linear increasing load? I need two pairs of x,y but is the next pair separated by a comma or other?
which units comply with the assigned unit system? a [Pa] or similar would be nice.
Again, nice work, much appreciated
