How to download r2009? was created by Scott
Hi all, I'm trying to download CAE Linux 2009 from this web site, but the server seems to be down and there is no torrent available. Is the server outage temporary or is r2009 no longer available?

Hi,

I have just checked now and the server is up and running. From here I can download the ISO without any problem.

There is certainly an issue with your connection / provided or firewall: actually, the download is done through FTP and some firewall can block FTP if your client is not using "passive" mode.

Try to connect manually to the FTP server using a good old FTP client like FileZilla. It should work fine then.

Good luck

Huh, I've never done that before. FTP with the 'connect to server' program in Ubuntu worked fine. Thanks for the info :)

Error: Connection timed out

my firewall was disabled and im using windows 7 64 bits

Hi,

I have the same problem. Does someone investigate the situation?

Thank you,

Hi...

it's strange, from here evrything works perfectly...

Have you tried to activate "passive" transfer in your FTP client?

Or there is a rule in your firewall that prevents access to this addres or protocol...
